GREEN

CRG 1

  • Clinical Research Groups

GRC 01 Sorbonne University relies on the clinical and research expertise of the structures involved in this neo-discipline that is neuro-urology, allowing the evaluation, diagnosis and medical-surgical and rehabilitative therapeutic management of ano-rectal, genito-sexual and urinary disorders observed during congenital or acquired, acute or chronic neural diseases.

The research topics are: Bladder neurophysiology (study of perineal reflexes, bladder motor control) and clinical analysis of urinary, anorectal and sexual dysfunctions in neurogenic patients.

The GRC 01 is the support of specific teaching Sorbonne University: neuro urology and urodynamic diploma, Master 2 Healthcare Clinical Research with a specific program (ReClip: Clinical Research in Pelvi-Perineology).

  • GREEN allows to respond to institutional or non-institutional, French or international calls for tenders.
  • GREEN promotes the development of industrial cooperation.
  • GREEN allows to manage through Sorbonne University, specific staff dedicated to clinical research in neuro-urology.
  • GREEN allows the reception of students in Masters of clinical research (mainly Master 2 ReClip (Clinical Research in Pelvi-Perineology) and by its membership to the doctoral school ED3C the reception of science theses.

Research topics are in general, clinical and experimental studies in the field of bladder neurophysiology and clinical neuro-urology; study of perineal reflexes; study of the neurological control of sphincter activity; study of the neurological control of bladder activity.
Specific research studies are: study of autonomic nervous system dysfunction in neurogenic disorders ; Study of the mechanisms of bladder motor function and sensitivity in normal and pathological conditions; analysis of the physiological perineal reflexes and their alterations during diseases of the nervous system; study of bladder, anorectal and perineal sensitivity in physiological and pathological conditions; study of attentional and cognitive mechanisms of bladder control and the need to urinate; study of the pathophysiological factors of alterations of the sacral reflexes; analysis of the mechanisms of action and modalities of optimization of central and peripheral neuromodulations during sphincter, urinary and anorectal disorders.

Finally, GREEN supports para-medical research with specific topics: analysis of the organic, psychogenic, psycho-behavioural and environmental determinants of the conditions of learning, achievement, acceptance and compliance of pelvic-perineal self-care in the neurological patient (e.g. self intermittent catherization);

Medicine

The Faculty of Medicine teaches the 3 cycles of medical studies: from PASS (integrated into the faculty) to the 3rd cycle including DES, DESC, DU and DIU. The lessons are given mainly on two sites: Pitié-Salpêtrière and Saint-Antoine. The faculty also provides paramedical education: speech therapy, psychomotricity and orthoptics. The Saint-Antoine site includes a midwifery school.

Welcome to Sorbonne University's Faculty of Science & Engineering

A unique combination of courses and expertise

Our international study programmes are organised according to the major disciplinary areas of the faculty. They represent the graduate study programmes that are not strictly conducted in French or that could be suitable (in part) for non French-speaking students. They also reflect part of the diversity of the disciplines involved and the bi- and inter-disciplinary aspects of many of the courses we offer.

Research & Innovation

We rely on disciplinary skills and on interdisciplinary approaches to renew concepts, methods and research subjects and to focus on some of the crucial issues faced by our societies: transformations affecting the very construction of knowledge (data, AI), the treatment of complex objects (the environment, marine and ocean sciences, cultural heritage) or our contributions to addressing societal challenges (climate change, healthcare).

Our campuses offer different and unique experiences to our students, visitors and staff. Resources and support services are also available to ensure an equal chance at success to all.

Campus Life

In addition to the cultural activities and events organised throughout the year by our clubs and societies, the Parismus society organises numerous events, evenings and cultural visits that will help you discover France and its parisian life.
